Anna has started to appreciate Dr. Seuss; at least the DVD animated renditions of his excellent children’s books.  (Since books and movies are where it’s at for Anna, she runs the risk of becoming like her father–a recovering couch potato.)  Throughout the day today (and at many intervals yesterday) Anna was shamelessely begging me to let her watch her new favorite Seuss cartoon.

"Daddy, can we watch Sam and Ham?"

"Oh, so you want to watch Green Eggs and Ham?"

"Yeah, Sam and Ham!  Sam and Ham!"

(But I do not like them, Sam I am. I do not like green eggs and ham…)
