Us!  They pulled the Johnsons on stage (I kid you not!)

We were the only western folk in the crowd and they singled us out!  I’m not kidding at all.  We had to go up on stage and make fools of ourselves.  I had my camera out and was anticipating getting some great shots of the girls on stage, but then one of these jokers in the flat hats asked me to come up with my family.  I was strategically placed front and center stage where I had to pretend that I had one ounce of rhythm in my whole body.  Not one person in the audience was fooled, believe me.

And no one we know even got to witness the historic event.  For all I know we made the Singapore nightly news.  Byline: Clumsy American butchers traditional Singaporan dance.
