You might get wet

When it rains sideways you might get a drop or two on you if you’re not careful.  Last night we were supposed to go out in groups to hit a few of the "historic" and "cultural" areas of Singapore.  We were supposed to form small bands of the oriented and go to places like Little India, Chinatown, and the Riverfront area.

It didn’t work out that way.

The torrential downpour I was expecting (as an ex-patriate Floridian) came at last!  Oh boy, did it come in buckets!  Anna asked me, "Daddy, why is it raining like this?"  Now that’s a hard question to answer; especially with the whole Noah and God never-destroying-the-earth-again-by-flood business.

In the end, it eventually stopped (with inconsequential damage to Singapore) and we bussed/walked to a typical Malaysian "hawker stall" / food court.  For now I’ll spare you the hawker stall visuals (i.e. a whole pig on a spit) but expect it in future installments.  All things considered, a good Sunday with lots of booming thunder and the constant lulling onslaught of H2O.
