Earlier Anna was looking at my blog. (Parents really should supervise more closely what their children are viewing online.)
She saw a picture I posted and said with excitement, "Look, it’s Uncle Peter."
I heard Christa reply, "That’s not your Uncle Peter."
When I realized the picture my daughter was referring to I quickly told her, "That’s not your Un-cle Pe-ter, Anna; that’s De-rek Je-ter….
Now go wash your mouth out with soap."
I didn’t really say that last part to her (since she is still an innocent child) and I’m not really a cruel parent. But mistaking my brother-in-law (and her own uncle!) for a New York Yankee; well, that’s a serious mistake that requires parental intervention.
After all this family is pro Skywalker, Obi Wan, Yoda and all that is good and wholesome in the universe. We spurn the dark side of the Force and all it represents!
