Well, our leak isn’t fixed. It’s a ridiculous situation that gets more ridiculous with each passing day. Guess we’ll be calling the Head Honcho tomorrow to see what his latest story will be…
Meanwhile, I was listening to a favorite group that I hadn’t listened to in a while earlier tonight. One of their songs hit me right between the eyes. It perfectly captured what I feel like emotionally. It resonated with Christa, too. It’s better to hear the song, but I think that posting the lyrics will be the next best thing. (Just remember, we’ve only been living here a few months so we’re still in that adjusting-to-culture-shock period. Next year will be better…we’re told!)
The Group: The Seventy-Sevens
The Song:
For Crying Out Loud
When it all comes down
And it all falls apart
When there’s no way to win
And you’re left with a broken heart
And you can’t look down
Cause it’s too far to fall
And you can’t look forward to nothing
‘Cept looking back on it allLook up
And cry out
Don’t be afraid to rage
Don’t be afraid to shoutLook up
For crying out loud
You’ve both been waiting for this day
For a long time now
A long time nowYou can’t stand up
And you can’t sit still
And you can’t get through a night
Without a sleeping pill
Days drag out
Nights never end
And you’re tired of talking it out on the phone
with all your friendsLook up
And cry out
Don’t be afraid to scream
Don’t’ be afraid to shoutLook up
For crying out loud
You’ve both been waiting for this day
For a long time now
A long time now
