Christa’s daily schedule

·

A few days ago I posted my daily schedule so that you could get a sense for what I’ve been up to.

Since then it has come to my atention that many people are more curious about my wife Christa’s daily schedule. There are many reasons why I am not able to provide such a schedule and here are the main ones:

First, since Christa is out working in the fields all day, I cannot keep tabs on all of her activities (see picture above). Since I am in language study most of the day I am not kept up-to-date on all her agricultural undertakings.

Second, since Christa’s schedule inevitably involves more time with Anna & Sarah and Chinese-speaking workcrews it cannot truly be called a "schedule" in the classical sense of the word. A schedule usually implies some consistent structure of time and events and currently our days (esp. Christa’s) seem to fall outside of this definition. It’s more like a snowflake; each day, hour, and minute is a bit different–unpredictable.  Often chaotic…

And third, it’s hard enough for me to keep track of my own idiosyncratic point of view and daily migrations. To try to capture my wife’s experience, voice, and tone; to adequately represent it; and to artfully and/or humorously document it in a way that both she and her loyal band of followers would find acceptable seems to me an insurmountable task. I just couldn’t do it justice…

So, for those of you who come here to glean information about Christa I want to let you know I am trying my best to deliver…but, I’ve told my good wife time and again that she should start her own blog. Her public cries for content. Her response: I couldn’t write it as good as you…and it wouldn’t be as funny. My retort: Not the point, not the point. People want to hear from you!

So, I am lobbying for action and I need your help. If you think Christa should start her own blog (in all her free time…) please use the Comments below to sign the petition. Send her a message! Let’s start a grass roots movement to hear the lovely lady roar.

(You realize she’ll probably kill me for this. I say it’s a worthy cause to die for. Can I get a witness?!)

[thunderous roar] Chris-ta! Chris-ta! Chris-ta!
