A friend of mine from my formative years in Florida recently started his own blog.  Most call him Shoof or (if you dare) The Shoof.  He now lives in Texas and looks suspiciously much like a Storm Trooper (I kid you not; go check out his Blogger Profile.)

He also has the notorieity (correct me if I’m wrong, Shoof) of having played (or nearly played?) the part of Bigfoot in an independent film that never got completed.  One yeti to another, I am convinced that he is, in fact, the real sasquatch of Redwood lore but I have no hard evidence to prove my claims.

Since I have known Shoof since the "youth group days" we have a long and sordid history together.

Most notably I remember taking a camcorder down to Fort Myers Beach during college spring break in order to make ad lib movies in the vain of Mysterious Science Theater 3000, starring a whole menagerie of anonymous drunken students.   I know what you’re thinking:  they must have been quite risque movies.  Not really; they were actually quite silly.  Monty Python would be proud.  It was good clean fun at others’ expense most of the time.  And that’s just one vivid memory…
