Yesterday, we celebrated Anna’s birthday with her friends. She officially turns 4 (Zoiks!) on the 13th, but we celebrated with all of her friends yesterday (Saturday). The Dora the Explorer-themed extravaganza was a smashing success and the kids had a lot of fun.
About 11 of Anna’s peers showed up for the occasion. Unfortunately for us, many of their parents did not! We survived however (by not letting one set of unlucky parents leave) and I think the kids enjoyed the games, play, snacks, Dora cartoons, and cupcakes.
Anna’s favorite present: a soccer ball (with red/black design).
Strangely enough, she began asking for this a few weeks ago. I’m not sure where the desire for this came from (Anna being the quintessential stereotypical princess), but she has had the ball within arms length ever since.
Needless to say, we’re exhausted (we also hosted our group meeting today!) so I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
