I just wanted everyone to know that I (and family) are still living, but my brain activity has slowed to mere functionality. It’s difficult to even muster enough energy (that would be like working!) to form coherent sentences and paragraphs. And blogging…well, it’s out of the question.
The weather is nice and warm here.
The pool is very child-friendly.
And the beaches here are reminiscent of home…(the southwest Florida one for those of you following along with your Todd tracker.)
We’ve been eating like kings (or queens?) here in Hua Hin. (If I can eat hot and spicy buffalo wings with blue cheese and celery than you know life is good for me!)
Other than that; well vacations are vacation. Which for me means a lot of reading whenever time is available. I’ve already read Nick Hornby’s How to Be Good and I’m working on the controversial Da Vinci Code and then (I’ve been saving the best for last) I’m planning on reading Donald Miller’s road trip book (Through Painted Deserts?) The title escapes me at the moment. It’s in the sidebar if you’re curious.
You probably won’t hear much more from me for another week or so…sorry. No pictures either. That would involve laborious downloading tasks.
The little ones and Christa are doing great…loving the warm weather and all the other things I mentioned above. Uncle Peter is here with us, too. So it’s a real treat all around. We’ll send some sun your way.
And we’re thinking of you all.
Think of us tomorrow; Pete and I will wake at 6 a.m. to root for the Seahawks in the Superbowl. Our hotel is playing the game in the lounge where we’ll probably be drinking instant coffee and eating omelettes.
Strange world, this planet called Asia.
