One thing we have REALLY been missing from the homeland lately:

Breakfast cereal!

Oh sure, cereal is available here in Xining at the infamous Import Store, BUT they only carry a few varieties (no telling how fresh!) at extremely expensive prices. Ouch. We treated ourselves to a box of cereal for Christmas morning this past year.

It seems that some of our good friends from the States (they’re/you’re like family really) have been intuitively tracking with our unspoken hankerings…

This week we received a box packed full of breakfast cereal, pancake mix, syrup, and other goodies.  Oh, man, were we EXCITED!

Lucky Charms, Golden Grahams, Frosted Mini-Wheats, and many-many-many other tasty treats to start our days out right.  I’ve never seen Anna and Sarah’s eyes get so round as the morning I pulled out the bag of Fruit Loops.  They almost stampeded each other running to the kitchen.

Anyway, we really appreciate it…
