Woke up this morning to a heavy rain. It’s such a strange phenomenon here it often comes as a surprise. Small muddy streams quickly form on the streets and the sidewalks seem to groan and crackle like dry throats finally getting a drink. When the sun retreats behind the clouds, the warmth seems to hide with it. I can’t remember a time in May when I’ve ever felt the need to wear a long t-shirt under a short-sleeved T-shirt and long underwear under my blue jeans. But that’s how I ventured out for class today. The heat is gone. It’s officially summer now. But it sure doesn’t feel like it. Tomorrow it could be sunny and warm OR it could be snowing. There’s just no telling.

Sounds just like home! Well, maybe not the snow part…but sunny, rainy, constantly changing weather. I’ll remember that when packing to come visit ๐ I hope you have a great day, Laura
