Our good friends, Josh & Laura, arrived in Xining at about 2 p.m. today! It’s been a whole year already; so it’s so great to finally see them again. I think all six of us (Anna & Sarah included) were just beaming in our reunion the whole day. It’s a lot of fun having them visit us here in our "new" environment. They got a taste of Xining today (seeing some of the places we shop–grocery, market, etc., riding in cabs, and seeing the variety of people in this city) and this evening we ate at one of our favorite restaurants, The Korean Barbecue. (Go to China to eat Korean food…makes perfect sense.) I think we all got our fill.
Christa enacted a mandatory curfew for our guests so they hit the hay early. No World Cup for Josh this evening…
We’re praying for good weather this week because we have a lot more to see and do. Posting may be infrequent as we all venture to Beijing at the end of the week. Until you hear from me again, don’t despair…
It’s great sharing the journey with friends, isn’t it?
p.s. As "conduits" Josh and Laura have already been doing a good job of passing on the electric current of agape love from you (our community) back home. Thanks, you guys. We really feel it and appreciate it!
