I realize some of you, dear readers, are going through some pretty bad heat waves right now.  I’m not making light of it…and I hate to rub this in, but I’m going to anyway:

Typical Xining weather has returned. 

Today it is sunny (blue skies) and (currently) 75 degrees.  We had a few days of rain so that cooled things down.  Now it feels quite comfortable.  That nasty thing we loathingly refer to (through clenched teeth) as humidity has left us.  Last night I didn’t even turn on the fan I bought.

If only there was another tree in front of our apartment building I could tie up a hammock.

I’m not superstitious or anything, but me gloating like this is sure to bring the scorching days of 90% humidity back.  We’ll see.  For now I’m going to enjoy the cool breeze…
