Hi folks.
Sorry for the short interruption. We just got back to Xining today. Hallelujah! I was reunited with my ladies (Christa, Anna, Sarah) and the in-laws in Beijing. We saw many of the sights and then hopped a plane to Xian where we saw more sights. (More news on that at 11…)
Warning: Self-promotion to follow…
For my mom’s birthday I did some (slight) revision work and self-published my short blog-novella Titan’s Tale: As Told By A Muse. This is not the "story" I was working on this past month, but an older work that I wrote for National Novel Writing Month two years ago.
I must say I’m pleased with myself for accomplishing this even though I think the story is still a bit "raw" or "unpolished" (in a good way). It’s no masterpiece, but hopefully it is somewhat readable and entertaining.
The good news for YOU, dear reader, is that you can buy my first published work via lulu.com (Not sure if they ship overseas yet?? Haven’t checked that out.)
If you’re curious, you can preview the book, read a summary, AND EVEN purchase it, here: Titan’s Tale for sale
I get royalties for every book sold, so if you buy one you’re also supporting your local foreign TOUR GUIDE in the process.
I will warn you that the cover art is pretty boring. I’m still a rookie at this self-publishing business. And I’m not sure of the publishing quality just yet. (Waiting on an email from my first buyer…) I actually haven’t held a hard copy of the book, but below you can see my Mom took a picture of her "first editions" I sent her. And if that doesn’t convince you to buy your own copy of this literary masterpiece, just remember there IS a yeti in this story… What else do you need?
