addendum to bizarre baseball

·

What do I know about baseball:

Then there is St. Louis.  I know they aren’t in the World Series yet,
but I think they have the advantage at this point (being up 2-1 to the
Mets after Billy Wagner imploded the other night in the 9th inning and
Trachsel imploded today in the first/second innings.  O. Perez is not a
strong starter at all anymore.  I think the Cards will eat his lunch
tomorrow…)

This was taken from yesterday’s post. Looks like the Mets are going to win this one pretty handily…but the game is not over yet. won this one EASILY (12-5)!

  1. GO METS! I would just love a Mets/Tigers World Series. I think it’s because the Mets have for years played ugly stepsister to the Bankees. Time to show that money isn’t everything…again.

George Will had a great column about baseball this past week:

  2. Yeah, that’s all we need, another new york team in the world series. Blech.

I will be seriously torn about who to root for if the Cards don’t make it. I don’t like the Mets, but I also don’t like the American League that much. Although it’s hard not to root for a team like the Tigers. I just hate the American League – stupid pansy DH crap. Real baseball leagues have their pitchers bat.

  3. pitchers have no business wearing batting helmets…and all those double switches (ugh.)

although i guess i still think cards-detroit would be interesting…i’m up for anything.
