down under in america mourns

·

Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,

"I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."

"Down Under"
Men at Work

It seems the U.S. government is telling its ex-pat Australian community, "you better run, you better take cover," by recently banning Vegemite.  Crazy, huh?  It’s not so crazy if you’ve actually tasted the stuff (although Anna would probably disagree with me on that one…)

Hmmmm, now I really want to hear that Men At Work song.

  1. What a DISGRACE! I’m disgusted. By the way, ‘Down Under’ is a high quality classic tune. I can try to sing it to you if you really want to hear it.

  2. i WOULD like to hear you sing it! on one condition…you need to play some rad 80s keyboard tune in the background. teach it to Anna the next time you have a session with her.

i once taught her a Milli Vanilli classic hit. Read about it here: http://yetispeak.blogspot.com/2005/04/corruption-starts-at-home.html
