Christa will be back in Xining tomorrow at 5 p.m. (Happy, happy, joy, joy!) Praise Him!
(And just in the knick of time, too. I am pretty sure Anna was just about to discover that I have been using the same pony tail style on her hair consecutively for the past 6 days. Plus, I was dangerously close to being in a position where I would be forced to -gasp- clip their fingernails. I can’t even cut my own without flinching!)
I am really glad Christa is coming home. We’ve spent too much time apart these past 6 months and this week was the worst of it.
After the third (and final test) administered today by the doctors (I use the plural because it sounds so much more official when you say "doctors"; like there are a team of physicians sitting around a table in a heated and very dire debate) determined that everything seemed to be OK. There were no "red flags" or warning signs, so Christa was given leave to return here.
What was it ? What is it? Who knows. Evidently, it’s either not serious (in terms of a major health risk) or just not serious yet? It is still a mystery.
The doctors did say that if the pain/discomfort persists AND she starts to develop a fever she should probably return to Hong Kong to have her appendix removed. There was nothing to indicate that this pain is related to her appendix (or anything else for that matter?) Everything seems to be working properly–but something just doesn’t feel right. Something to keep lifting up.
So there you go…
If things intensify in the weeks or months to come, you better believe the WHOLE family will be heading to Hong Kong the next time around. When your family is suffering or sick, you just want to be there for them.
Thanks again for rallying around us in prayer and encouragement. It may be a LONG time before we realize the amazing way in which He answered. It remains to be seen…some day.
