harvest (house) party 2006

·

Well, this year’s harvest party once again rocked da house.  It was a much smaller affair than last year’s bash, but we intentionally planned it that way.  (Kept the parent-to-child ratio pretty even.)  Anna & Sarah invited 6 peers to this year’s gala.  There were costumes, decorations, games, crafts, and (the most important part) delicious "treats".

This year the girls surprised everyone by electing to dress up as…(you’ll never believe it when I tell you)…princesses.

If you wear an outfit every day of the week, can it really be considered a "costume"?
Case in point: Sarah’s costume was in tatters from so much use.  Perhaps she was going for the "Cinderella-post-smackdown-with-her-step-sisters" look.

Christa went for the fairy motif…  (Also very cute!)

Meanwhile, I went for the most terrifying costume I could think of: suburban white kid who thinks he is 50 Cent (i.e. a gangster rapper).  My name Kid Piaoliang (Kid Pretty).  My "posse": The Wu Kuai Clan.  (Wu Kuai is roughly equivalent to 62 cents U.S.)  Yes, I do have a fox sticker on my right arm.  Yes, I did get that ridiculous hat from the college at our last big Sports Meet.  And yes, I did have a lot more fun dressing up than the kids…  For more harvest party photos, check out the photo album here

Peace, out.  Till next year, ya’ll.
