my new birthday suit

Hinting sometimes works.  For my birthday gift, my parents and in-laws went in on getting me this hip looking yeti jacket.  (Thanks folks!  Now this super-blogger has an appropriate costume.)

I’m like a kid who wants to wear the same clothes every day of the week; if I could figure out a way to sleep in it comfortably I probably would.  Just need to lose my "America weight" for it to fit more appropriately.  It’s supposed to be form-fitting and the sleeve-length is good, but my stomach seems to have expanded in the last six weeks due to my steady diet of hamburgers, chicken wings,  Doritoes, and donuts.  (The high-fat lattes also aren’t helping much in this regard.)  I’m not too worried about it though.  Xining works wonders in terms of pulling off the pounds.

We leave for Beijing on Wednesday.  Seven more flights to go… (ugh)

  1. You look like a stud! In a Yeti, kinda studly way. Wednesday huh? Gosh, were in the world did this month go? If you can squeeze in a Carnes visit before you leave, we’d love it… but no pressure! Feels like we’ve been swamped… couldn’t make it to camp, or Levi’s birthday… GOSH! Love you, Michelle & Shawn

  2. sorry, we missed being able to hang out more during our stint here. we should have made our way out to your place, but alas, we did not. the good news is that we’ll be back in seattle in a year and a half. the time will go by in a blink. we love you guys! see you soon.
