Well, I’m sad to say our conference here in Thailand has been pestered by an epidemic-like case of the stomach bug.  It’s being slated as the Suan Bua "belly" and Christa and I fell victim to the nasty virus earlier today.  Thankfully (so far) our symptoms have not included the vomiting, but we could have done without the diarrhea and nausea.  Get us back to Xining where we have experienced comparatively GOOD HEALTH this last year and a half!  We’re thankful Anna & Sarah haven’t seemed affected by this illness which seems to have swept through 80% of the conference attendees.

On a lighter note, Christa met Wolverine’s parents!  Isn’t that cool?  It turns out that Hugh Jackman (sp?), the Australian actor who plays Wolverine in the X-Men movies, is the offspring of Mr. & Mrs. Jackman (I don’t even remember their first names because I got so caught up in the celebrity part) who are attending our conference.  What’s really crazy is that Hugh’s father used to be the director for the "company" we now work for in China!?! Talk about your six degrees of Kevin Bacon…

I am not sure if Wolverine’s parents were affected by this nasty stomach thing.  If they were I’m sure it only lasted a few minutes due to their extra-fast healing powers.
