As promised, I posted a few new Thailand photos here.  They are mostly of the family, not the sights.  I posted a lot of pictures of Thailand (i.e. sights) last year I think.  Check out yetispeak classic for those.

I also wanted to add a note of clarification about yesterday’s post.  It feels good to be back "home" (always should be in quotes) here in Xining because this is where we’ve created a home for ourselves.  Plus, we’ve spent the last two months living out of suitcases (which gets pretty old!)

This definitely isn’t home in the classical sense, but we’re hoping it will become more so over time.   We’re still strangers here and are having to adjust to speaking Chinese and navigating through the cultural differences again.  I didn’t want to give the false impression that we are completely "at home" here.  In fact, there were a few China "surprises" waiting for us here at our apartment in Xining.  Nothing major, but pretty typical stuff.
