Tongxue means classmate in Chinese. 

Christa and I became classmates today for the first time since we’ve been here.  Our marriage will probably never be the same (ha-ha).  Probably the last time we were "classmates" together was when we went through pre-marital classes/counseling…oh yeah, let’s not forget childbirth classes after that… 

Thankfully, we were able to get the good teacher that I had last semester.  Christa is still reeling from the fact that she finally has "a real teacher" and is feeling a bit gypped that it has taken this long.  But we’re looking forward to better days ahead. Thanks for "thinking" of us in this regard.  Now if we could just make some local friends to practice Chinese with!

P.S. After two days at her new Chinese pre-school Sarah ALSO seems to be more content with her new environment; even though she said after the first day she wanted to go back to the school with the "mean teachers".  Little rebel.   When I dropped her off she didn’t even cry or even after that (that we know of!)  Keeping the fingers crossed (not that we’re superstitious or anything.)
