the height of absurdity, oh yeah, and zombies

·

Sometimes I get onto the internet, check my blog, and find myself truly disappointed that there isn’t a new post waiting for me.  Can you believe that?  It’s almost as if my true self and my Yeti alter-ego have split into two distinct individuals.  One posts blogs and the other reads it.  My reader-self is often caught off-guard, actually surprised, even a bit deflated to find that there is no new content waiting for him.  The longer the stretch between posts the more acutely I feel the let-down.

Where do I think this stuff comes from?  Me!?!  That’s who.  Who else?  (OK, I know I’m weird, but that’s 90% of my charm.)

On another note, if you are like me, one of the few folks left in this world who doesn’t have a cell phone and doesn’t want one, you might enjoy Stephen King’s frightmarish best-selling novel, Cell.   Well, you might not like it at all; it’s gory, vulgar, violent, creepy, and disturbing.  But if you like the idea that in a final split-second act of terrorism all cell phone users are transformed into mindless zombies, this might be right up your alley.  Hey, don’t get upset with me, I didn’t write this story.  I’m just saying the concept has its own twisted appeal, especially if you’ve ever been in your car driving behind some oblivious "zombie" blathering away on their cell phone.  It’s irritating.

  1. hahahaaaa – man, what a great post.
and I had no idea what the story was going to be about and I love that in a split second act of terrorism we would all be transformed into zombies
