Update (04-15-07): My mom sent an update on my aunt Robin.  I thought I would pass it along.

I went back up today and she is in very good spirits.

The cancer is Glioblastoma Multiforme.

She will come out of ICU today and go into a regular room.

They will start giving her juice and jello (clear liquids) to see how she
does and then food.

They have ordered PT to try to get her up to get her strength back.

She may leave the hospital at the beginning of the week and will start 7 weeks
(estimated time) of Radiology.

My mom also mentioned because of the form of the cancer (i.e. it intertwines in the brain) they can’t remove all of it.  So, hopefully, the radiation will help some with this.  There are a lot more questions than answers right now.  My family seems to be taking it one day at a time.  Thankfully, my aunt has not lost her good sense of humor in the midst of it…

Thanks again for your prayers.  Please continue to be lifting her up.  We know that God can heal miraculously and it’s always good to ask, in faith, for that to happen.  We are trusting that He is with her (and our family) during this difficult time.

Update (04-14-07):  My aunt came
out of the surgery with no paralysis and she was able to recognize
everyone in the room.  The doctors removed most of the mass, but they
wanted to wait for my aunt to recover a bit before they gave her their
report.  So I’m going to wait until they’ve talked to her before I say
more about it…  Please, keep praying.  Thanks!

I would like to ask that you please pray for my aunt.  Her name is
Robin and she lives in south Florida.  She went to the hospital today
(yesterday?) because she has been having painful headaches and nausea.
After running some tests, the doctor(s) discovered a tumor on her brain
that they say must be removed (followed by chemo and radiation).
Needless, to say, we’re all in a state of shock.  She is a believer, a
mother of two, and a grandmother of two.

Her surgery is Thursday, at 4 p.m. (EST).  Thanks for lifting her up.  I’ll try to update you on her status as I learn more…
