mystery meal II

You might remember that some of our friends here in Xining hosted a "murder mystery meal" about a year ago.  This last Friday we held our second annual (?) one with some of the same cast and a few new participants. It was a RIOT once again.  Lots of laughs and social commentary.

This year’s meal was entitled: Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Silver Bullet.

Instead of trying to find Sherlock Holmes-ish sort of clothing it was decided that it would be easier here in this context to put a somewhat 80s spin on it.  Christa’s outfit was too much, complete with puffy denim skirt, a crazy Madonna top with a hoodie, leggings, fabulously big earrings and other forms of flare.  Of course she put this whole outfit together herself, so I guess that says something in itself.

This year I didn’t have to play the gay guy (thank-you-very-much), but I did have to play the Latin lover, Juan Pinto, which I’m still not sure is much of a step up.  But hey, I scored some lime-green pants in the deal.  I’m sure I’ll get some good use out of those.  (Ha-ha.)

It’s better just to show the pictures I think.  So, click here for a laugh.  I can’t tell you who the murderer was; that would ruin it for you.  But I can say, "Ay, ca rumba, it’s wasn’t me, senor!  I swear…"  (My Brazilian character spoke a somewhat Mexican form of English strangely enough.)

  6. Never thought I’d say this, but you might have been the modern, Latin version of Mr. Green Jeans, or, Senor Green Jeans.

I think you have found yourself, Todd. Really.
