harkening back to drier days

The rains came a few days ago.  In beating buckets full.  It’s been so intense it has felt like weeks of rain even though it’s only been a couple days.  Our dry and dusty town has become a wet and muddy slough.

It’s been so uncharacteristically wet here it’s almost hard to believe these sunny pictures were taken less than a week ago.  The girls have gone a little bit "country" as you can see and we enjoyed some S’mores in our bonfire-friendly backyard earlier this week.  Since all of my shoes are caked in mud and our porches are starting to get pretty leaky I’m about ready for the return of drier weather.

  1. The girls resemble each other so much in the photo where they are sporting the hats. No wonder those people think they are twins.
I guess weed eaters are out of the question there? The fire looks like a fun time.

  2. The pictures are absolutely wonderful. They are so cute. It could almost be a 50’s theme. remenants of the Mouseketeers camps. Priceless. MER
