I looked at my "blogroll" recently and noticed that many of the people listed there do not post anymore. What happened to everybody who used to blog? Using my extraordinary powers of deduction, I guessed it has something to do with the recession, so I'm working on a solution.
I am working on a proposal to submit to the U.S. federal government asking them to "loan" me $100,000 in order to keep my blog from suffering the same fate as so many other blogs and companies during this economic "crises". In these difficult times, I am fearful that I won't be able to pay the $90 registration fee when it is due again this summer, so I'm banking on Uncle Sam to come through for me. Not only am I hoping for the feds to help me out this year, but as you can see I've built quite a package for myself to ensure that the yetispeak… is safe for generations to come.
After all, what would so many hard-working folks like you do without this blog–an oasis in the midst of your desert-like, dry existence in the cubicles of this great nation. I am sure that if the yeti went under work productivity would slide, bosses would get angry, people would lose their jobs, their livelihood, their homes. The void left in the realm of humor and cute pictures of little princesses would soon lead to various addictions, depression, and for some, other more serious forms of deviant behavior. So I feel like it is my American duty to keep the yetispeak running by asking the taxpayers for a large sum of cold hard cash. Call me a patriot if you will.
And I promise that if the government comes through, I'm taking all 15 of you faithful, daily readers to Disneyland for the weekend. I might even buy you a Coke and a pretzel in the Magic Kingdom if you have good behavior.
Yeti's honor.

*This was written tongue-in-cheek because of the whole "bailout" phenomenon going on right now. No disrespect was meant to you folks out there who have lost your job(s), retirement funds, or faced other hardships. In some ways we ARE all in the same rocky boat right now.
**Unlike in other posts, I am not petitioning for funding to blog. Really, I'm not!
