christmas design winners

Anna and Sarah entered the QFC Holiday Bag Design Contest this year.

This week they found out they both were WINNERS!

Sarah's prize was one of those Lifesaver Storybooks*.  (You know the ones; they have the packaging that looks like a Christmas book which holds a dozen rolls of Lifesavers inside.  We used to get these in our Christmas stockings quite often.)

And Anna was one of the 75 store winners for our area.  She won a $50 gift certificate to QFC and a Nutcracker Ballet poster.  Since you can buy gift cards at grocery stores now I think she is going to use her $50 gift card to buy a Toy's R Us gift card.  Crafty!  We just made her promise she'd wait until after her birthday and Christmas before she spent it.  Otherwise, she might buy items we've already purchased…

*All participants won the Lifesaver Storybook for entering.  We thought Sarah should have won for creativity.  Check out the cat with bows on its ears on the top of my head!  Why do I get the cat?  I'm the only one in the family who has allergies.  I guess that's the humor value of the piece…

  1. I love Anna’s and Sarah’s art! Just fabulous…
    Congratulations to both of them.
Just a heads up…sometimes they don’t let you buy a gift card with a gift card…
Love the cat on the head!

  2. Yeah, the clerk at QFC said she could buy a gift card instead, but even if they don’t let her, I guess she can use her QFC card at Fred Meyer. Don’t ask me why?
