You’ve probably heard by now, but another devastating earthquake hit on April 14th. This one was in the Qinghai province where we lived for three years. The earthquake hit Yushu, a Tibetan area, well south of Xining (where we lived) but hundreds of people died and thousands were injured. Many of our friends in the area (locals and ex-pats) were impacted or knew of someone who was impacted by this tragedy. (My favorite language teacher at the minorities university in Xining was born in this area and likely still had family there.)
