In case you missed the reference: Ootah’s Lucky Day was a story I read in my childhood about a young Eskimo boy who kills a walrus and then fights off a polar bear. It’s interesting reading these same stories to your own children. Brings a different perspective.

Sunday evening we ventured out as a group for a picnic and some live music. (It was a cleverly disguised team building exercise I think…) A variety of local high school and community college bands played some well-known numbers (i.e. Y.M.C.A–we laughed when they played our theme song–Copa Cabana, etc.,) and we ate sack dinners…
